JGS Roses is now providing summer pruning for your roses. Some of the benefits of pruning in summer includes refreshing your roses which will then encourage a fresh flush of flowers on your rose plant or bush. It may take 6 to 7 weeks, but it will be worth it and it will also reduce the amount of pruning JGS needs to do when it’s time to do the winter prune.
During the summer prune, it will allow us to check over your roses and treat them for any diseases that might suddenly appear at this time of the year. We have found that when there are bush fires around some roses are hit with Chili Thrip and other diseases and we need to get on top of that before they kill off your roses.
