Time for a break

It’s that time of the year when it is time to have a break. I don’t see myself as just a gardener, I am a person who cares for your gardens and your roses. And if I find a problem I try to find the solution.

In the case of Chilli Thrips, unfortunately this is a pest that will not go away but we can control it as best as possible. Chilli Thrip will often appear as soon as the warm summer months arrive. I use a natural solution to this problem, but I always find water, helps. Constant watering without drowning your roses from above is a solution.

Many people have asked me what I put into my special spray, all I can say is, I make sure I am using natural products. However, I also may ask you if you are allergic to some of the products I use and if that is the case then I will find a different solution to help keep Chilli Thrip away.

If you decide to remove the Chilli Thrip yourself, please remember not to put the waste into the Green Bin. Make sure you bag the cuttings and tied the bag up and put in your general waste bin. The last thing anyone wants is for this pest to spread.

On that note, it is time to take a break, and I hope everyone has time to sit back and enjoy this time of the year. I will be back in January, to look after your gardens and your roses.
