I’ve developed my own homemade rose feed using natural ingredients, carefully selected to nourish the entire plant, from the roots up. My goal has always been to build strength, resilience, and consistent flowering, rather than chasing short-term results.
This natural “rose juice,” as I like to call it, works by improving soil health while delivering the nutrients roses need in a more balanced and gentle way. Instead of forcing growth, it supports the plant’s natural processes, helping roses grow stronger over time.
Since using this method, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my roses. The foliage is richer in colour, the stems are sturdier, and the blooms are more abundant and longer-lasting. Just as importantly, the plants themselves are more resilient and better able to handle changing conditions.
One of the biggest advantages of using a natural, homemade fertiliser is that it works with your garden, not against it. It encourages beneficial soil life, improves structure, and creates a healthier growing environment overall. This is something that simply can’t be replicated with synthetic fertilisers alone.
For me, growing roses isn’t just about appearance, it’s about building plants that thrive season after season. Using a natural rose feed has become a key part of that process, and it’s something I rely on in my own garden every day.
I’ll be sharing more about how I use this feed, when to apply it, and how you can get the best results with your own roses.
