I would like to say a very special thank you to the wonderful people of Kojonup following my recent visit to prune the roses.
It was a real pleasure to travel down and work on approximately 1,400 roses. It was a big job, but it was made so much easier by the friendly and welcoming people I met along the way.
A sincere thank you to Dwaine, from the Shire of Kojonup, Kylie and Louise. You were all great to work with, easy to deal with, and helped make the entire rose-pruning project run smoothly.
I would also like to thank Alison and her mum for their kindness, encouragement and support while I was there. It was lovely to know they were happy with the work being done, and their encouragement meant a great deal to me.
One of the nicest parts of the visit was meeting so many friendly local people. I especially enjoyed talking with the children in the park, who were interested in the roses and curious to learn more about them. It was wonderful to be able to explain a little about rose care and see that interest.
Kojonup has a very welcoming country feel, and I was made to feel right at home. From the people I worked with to those I met around town, everyone was friendly, down to earth and a pleasure to be around.
Thank you again for having me. I was very happy to be there, and I would be pleased to return to Kojonup in the future.
Warm regards,
John
