Transplanting Your Roses

For the best results when it comes to transplanting your roses:

  • Aim to book any major rose moves for June to August, prioritising July where possible.
  • Combine transplanting with a winter prune, reducing the plant by around one‑third to one‑half to balance top growth and roots.
  • Prepare the new hole in advance with well‑improved soil so the rose can be replanted immediately.
  • Water deeply after transplanting and keep the soil consistently moist (not waterlogged) while new roots establish

If you feel unsure about the timing or how to do this, please call me and I can access each rose, choose the safest time to move it and handle the entire transplant and pruning process for you.
