Several clients have asked me to move their roses or to transplant roses and I have provided this service, however this service can only be provided at certain times of the year.
The best time to transplant or move roses in Perth or areas around Perth, Western Australia is during the Winter Months. The colder the better because it is usually when roses are dormant. Dormant can also meant that the roses are not actively growing. At this time of the year, it also means that the colder weather will reduce the stress of transplantation. In other words, it means it won’t shock the roses.
It is also best to transplant or move roses at this time of the year because it then allows them to settle and re-establish before spring comes and the new growth begins.
The best months for Transplanting or moving your roses in June, July and August. And preferably throughout the coldest month, July.
